Job Title: Physician Cardiothoracic Surgery (Locums)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon for an ongoing locums opportunity with a flexible weekend call schedule. This is a great opportunity for surgeons looking for consistent call coverage with strong support and manageable patient volume.
Schedule & Coverage - Start Date: May 10, 2026
- Contract: Ongoing
- Schedule: 3 weekends per month
- Shift: Friday 12 PM Monday 7 AM
- Coverage: 24-hour on-call
Practice Details - Setting: Acute Care Hospital
- Support: APP support available
- EMR: Epic
- Patient Population: Adults (18+)
- Average Callback: 2 4 hours/day including rounding
- Cases: Urgent cardiac surgeries (no TAVRs)
- Workflow: Cath lab to OR; stable cases may wait until weekday
Requirements - Board Certified / Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active State License (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred
Credentialing - Approx. 90 days (temps available for clean files)
