Job Description:
The Fire Sprinkler Service Technician is responsible for testing, maintaining, and servicing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and company procedures. This role ensures that fire protection systems are fully operational, code-compliant, and properly documented. The technician works independently and collaboratively to support customer safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine service and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
Ability to identify parts and components of a fire sprinkler system
Troubleshoot system impairments, leaks, and mechanical failures
Perform minor repairs and coordinate major repairs with supervisors
The ability to operate lifts
Respond to emergency service calls, impairments, and system outages as required
Ensure systems are restored to service safely and promptly
Provide attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and time management
Accurately complete service documentation
Ability to use mobile devices and service software
Maintain compliance documentation and service records
Maintain professional communication with customers on job sites
Ability to perform specialized task(s) ie: Internal Inspections, hydrostatic testing and servicing different types of valves
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
Follow all company safety policies and procedures during fieldwork.
Support a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and addressing safety concerns professionally
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
2-5 years of experience in fire sprinkler service and maintenance.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
Ability to work in confined areas, work off ladders, platforms, and heights
