Job Title: Locum to Perm - Physician - Hematology Oncology
About the Facility and Practice: Join a dynamic team at a leading Medical Oncology & Hematology facility in Paducah, Kentucky. This locum-to-permanent opportunity offers ongoing coverage with a focus on adult patients, delivering 95% clinic and 5% hospital services. Enjoy a supportive environment with a dedicated outpatient support staff and EPIC EMR. The practice specializes in 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology, catering to an average patient census of 22 per day.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care in Hematology and Oncology.
- Conduct new patient appointments (30 mins) and follow-up visits (15 mins).
- Manage a patient load of 18-22 daily, including 2-3 new consults.
- Participate in sporadic night call shifts (3-6 nights/month).
- Work collaboratively with mid-level providers for patient follow-up and care.
- Assist in transitioning patients from a competitor facility.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology or Medical Oncology Required
- Completion of Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Required
- Experience in Outpatient/Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Required
- Knowledge of Intrathecal and Intracavitary Chemotherapy Required
- COVID vaccination Required
- BLS & ACLS certifications Required
- KY State license Highly Preferred
- A Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within 30 days) Required
License and Certification Requirements:
