Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
Our esteemed cancer center serves as the primary hub for oncology care across the region, housed in a beautiful free-standing facility. This outpatient-only position involves no inpatient consults, focusing solely on clinic visits and collaboration with our advanced infusion services. The center features a newly opened 19-chair infusion room and an onsite mixing pharmacy, ensuring seamless patient care. Physicians will enjoy a diverse case mix, with approximately 80% oncology and 20% hematology patients, averaging 10-15 patients per day. With support from a dedicated nurse navigation team and onsite Radiation Oncology, you'll have all the tools necessary to provide exceptional care.
Schedule and Assignment Details
Enjoy a balanced schedule with 8-hour days and a manageable 1:4 call rotation, primarily handling critical lab calls. Physicians will be on call for 7 days, including one weekend. Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology within 2 years of eligibility.
- Experience practicing Radiation Oncology is preferred.
- Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
- Clean malpractice history and a recent NPDB Self-Query Report.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain an Oregon medical license.
- Preference for candidates with ties to Oregon or experience in the state.
