Job description

Opportunity:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesia


Job Details:

  • Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients

  • Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper management of neurological status pre- and post-procedure

  • Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required by surgical procedures

  • Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout the surgical process

  • Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative environment with anesthesiologists and surgical teams

  • Maintain continuous patient monitoring throughout the perioperative phase (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op)

  • Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and anesthesia records

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards

  • 32-40 hours per week working 8- or 10-hour shifts with either Monday or Friday availability required every week

  • No on-call duties required (strictly scheduled shifts)

  • Hospital-based setting designated as a Level II Trauma Center

  • Contribute to a daily volume of approximately 50 surgical cases

  • Work alongside a team in multiple operating rooms with rotating assignments based on need

  • Respond to emergencies and provide airway management, including intubation if needed

  • Must be Board Certified CRNA with a minimum of 1 year of CRNA experience

  • Active Michigan license required

  • Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and PALS

Operating as a Level II Trauma Center, the facility supports a high-volume surgical environment with approximately 50 cases per day across multiple operating rooms. The anesthesia department functions within a collaborative, team-based model, pairing CRNAs with anesthesiologists to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care.
