Job description

Opportunity:

Physician - Cardiology - Non-Invasive


Job Details:

  • Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist needed for inpatient, call, outpatient, and clinic coverage

  • Coverage needed as second physician support during recruitment

  • Call ratio of 1:6 with night and weekend call on a rotating basis

  • Average of 10 clinic patients per day

  • Average of 12-15 inpatient admissions per physician per day

  • Patient age demographic includes adult and geriatric populations

  • Documentation system/EMR: EPIC

  • Workload to be distributed between Medical Director and this position

  • Physician oversight of 4 APCs who work independently is required

  • Procedures required include Electrocardiograms (EKGs)

  • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certification required

  • Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) Fellowship and LVAD experience required

  • ACLS certification required

  • Active Virginia medical license required

  • DEA required

  • Local provider only - full-time coverage Monday through Friday plus call is required, only mileage is reimbursed

  • NPDB self-query report required at time of presentation (must be pulled within 30 days)
