What You ll Do
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL (activities of daily living) physical functioning disorders and develop plans of care
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
- Provide skilled, medically necessary OT treatment for cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
- Deliver rehabilitation services such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities/exercises, modalities, and training with supportive/assistive devices
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and evaluate outcomes for effectiveness
- Provide counseling and consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers as appropriate
- Maintain required documentation in an electronic system, including treatment minutes, discharge summaries, and regulatory/clinical records
- Participate in required meetings and facility/company trainings
- Support and supervise OT assistants, rehab aides, and/or students when applicable
What You Need
Required - Current occupational therapist licensure (state requirements apply; specific details not provided)
- Ability to follow NBCOT standards and state practice acts, including code of conduct and ethics
