POSITION SUMMARY
This role provides pediatric gastroenterology services within a multispecialty pediatric program. Responsibilities include ambulatory care, potential outreach within the region, and participation in a call structure that incorporates telemedicine consultation and telephone management. The position focuses exclusively on pediatric gastroenterology and is supported by dedicated pediatric transport resources and a broad range of pediatric subspecialties. Clinical operations are closely connected to inpatient pediatric services, including neonatal and intensive care units staffed continuously by pediatric specialists. Opportunities for academic or research involvement are available.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Residency training in Pediatrics.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Clinical background in pediatric gastroenterology.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to manage pediatric gastroenterology conditions in ambulatory and consultative settings.
• Skill in collaborating with pediatric subspecialists and transport teams.
• Capacity to participate in call activities involving telemedicine and telephone support.
• Proficiency in working within a system that integrates outpatient and inpatient pediatric services.
