Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Interventional Cardiologist, you will join the nationally recognized CHI Health Heart Institute and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. You will become part of a highly collaborative cardiovascular team dedicated to advancing clinical excellence, innovation, research, and medical education while providing exceptional care to patients with complex cardiovascular disease.

Every day you will perform advanced interventional procedures, manage patients with complex coronary and structural heart disease, collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, and contribute to the continued growth of one of the nation's premier Heart and Vascular Institutes.

To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist with strong procedural expertise, a commitment to evidence-based cardiovascular care, and a passion for advancing the field through innovation, research, and education. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach to patient care, and the ability to thrive within a dynamic academic environment.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease
  • Perform high-quality interventional cardiology procedures with a focus on exceptional clinical outcomes
  • Participate in the care of patients requiring complex coronary and structural heart interventions
  • Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, general cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of a nationally recognized cardiovascular program
  • Participate in interventional cardiology clinical research initiatives, including national and international trials
  • Collaborate with CommonSpirit Health service line partners on quality improvement initiatives, clinical trials, and best practice sharing
  • Participate in a high-quality cardiovascular program recognized as a TAVR, TEER, AFIB, Watchman, and LAAO Center of Excellence
  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students through Creighton University School of Medicine
  • Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities in collaboration with faculty across CommonSpirit Health and Creighton University
  • Contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and patient-centered cardiovascular care

Job Requirements
Required
  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program
  • Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Nebraska
Preferred
  • Interest in academic medicine, research and medical education
