Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Urgent Care Physicians (MD/DO) for an ongoing outpatient opportunity with flexible scheduling and strong clinical support located throughout Austin, Texas - Local Candidates.

This is a high-volume, fully supported urgent care environment designed for providers who enjoy fast-paced patient care with no administrative responsibilities.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking experienced Urgent Care Physicians for an ongoing, high-volume clinical need supporting multiple outpatient urgent care settings. This role offers flexible scheduling, strong operational support, and a fully clinical focus with no administrative responsibilities.

Providers must be comfortable managing a full urgent care scope and seeing patients across all age groups.

  • Manageable volume with strong clinical support (approx. 3 4 patients/hour)


SCREENING QUESTIONS:

  • Do you have an active state medical license, DEA, and BLS/ACLS/PALS?
  • Are you Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine?
  • Do you have at least 1 year of recent urgent care experience? (required)
  • Are you comfortable seeing patients of all ages (pediatrics + adults)?
  • Are you open to rotating between multiple clinic sites within the market?
  • Are you comfortable with self-directed travel (no reimbursement provided)?
  • What shift types are you open to (weekdays vs weekends)?
  • How many shifts per week can you consistently commit to?
  • Are you comfortable performing urgent care procedures independently (lacerations, foreign body removal, EKG + X-ray interpretation)?
  • Have you used an urgent care EMR system such as Experity or similar?
  • Can you commit to an ongoing assignment after credentialing (approximately days)?


START DATE:
ASAP Credentialing to begin immediately for upcoming openings (approx. days)


ASSIGNMENT LENGTH:
Ongoing / Continuous coverage


SCHEDULE:

  • High-volume outpatient urgent care coverage needs
  • Full-time typically considered 3 shifts/week (12-hour shifts)
  • Weekend-only availability accepted
  • Clinics operate 7 days per week
  • Flexible scheduling based on provider availability


LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active state medical license
  • Active DEA
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Board Certified (FM, IM, or EM)
  • Minimum 1 year urgent care experience required
  • Must be comfortable seeing all ages


SCOPE OF WORK:

  • 100% Urgent Care
  • No emergency department duties
  • No primary care panel management
  • No administrative responsibilities


CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries
  • Manage urgent care visits for all age groups
  • Perform minor procedures (lacerations, foreign body removal, etc.)
  • Interpret EKGs
  • Review X-rays with teleradiology support for final reads
  • Deliver efficient, high-quality patient care


VOLUME / SUPPORT:

  • Approx. 3 4 patients per hour
  • Teleradiology support with rapid turnaround
  • Strong clinical and operational support team
