Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 2 days per week
Assignment Details:
- The ideal candidate is a board certified pulmonologist with strong outpatient experience managing asthma, COPD, chronic cough, sleep related breathing issues, and abnormal imaging findings.
- Must be comfortable reviewing basic pulmonary diagnostics such as PFTs, chest X rays, and CT reports. Since no procedures (bronchoscopy, thoracentesis) are performed onsite, the clinician must be skilled in consultative, clinic based pulmonary care and able to work independently in a correctional environment.
- The locum will run on site pulmonary clinics in Connecticut DOC facilities, seeing new consults and follow up patients.
- All care is outpatient and non procedural within the prison clinic space.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating respiratory symptoms
- Managing chronic lung disease
- Reviewing outside imaging or PFT results
- Adjusting medications, and advising staff on triage and referral needs for patients who may require off site procedures or advanced testing.
Requirements:
- Must be board certified
- CT license
