- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Coverage: Inpatient Neuro Hospitalist Service
- EMR: Cerner
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Manage inpatient stroke and neurology patients
- Provide coverage for:
- Neuro ICU
- Neuro Step Down Unit
- Med Surg Neurology Unit
- Average Daily Volume:
- 4 5 consults
- patient rounds
- Collaborate with APP support and inpatient neurology physicians
- No EEG responsibilities
- No residents on service
Support Structure
Providers will work alongside:
- Dedicated NP/PA support
- Additional inpatient Neurology physician coverage
- Full ICU, Step Down, and Med Surg nursing teams
- Stroke manager and stroke coordinators
Candidate Requirements:
- An active North Carolina medical license is required
- Active North Carolina DEA required
- Stroke care experience required
- Candidates must be comfortable managing acute stroke patients in a high-acuity inpatient setting
- IMLC candidates will not be considered at this time
