This facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.
Details & requirements for this opportunity:
Schedule: Ongoing need starting as soon as possible. Priority coverage July 13-August 3. Provider must cover all or at least 2 of the requested weeks. Mix of 24-hour call coverage (3-4 days per week), weekend call, and 8-hour inpatient rounding/surgery days.
Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular surgery practice.
Type of Cases and Required Procedures: Coronary artery bypass grafting, video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, thoracotomies, lobectomies, abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs, arterial bypasses, and aortic valve replacements. Responsibilities include inpatient rounding, surgical consults, emergency department call coverage, admissions, and surgery.
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 days.
Electronic Medical Record: Epic.
Certifications Required: Board Certified in Cardiovascular Surgery.
Licensure Required: Active Louisiana license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact eligibility.
