A growing hospital-based surgical team just north of Portland, Maine, is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join a collaborative, patient-centered practice with a broad elective and inpatient surgical mix, including minimally invasive and bariatric surgery.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time hospital-based general surgery practice
- Broad mix of elective and inpatient surgical cases
- Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures across adult populations
- Ideal candidate will also have some expertise in bariatric and metabolic surgery, including minimally invasive procedures
- Manage full perioperative care including pre-op, operative, and post-op management
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiology, nutrition, endocrinology, and multidisciplinary surgical teams
- Educate patients and families on surgical options, risks, and recovery planning
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical outcomes initiatives
- Flexible scheduling with shared call responsibilities
