What You ll Do
- Provide expert care for pre-transplant, LVAD, post-transplant, and high-acuity cardiac patients
- Collaborate with a team of five APPs to ensure seamless patient management
- Handle night call duties, primarily concerning physician-to-physician transfers and admissions
- Accept and manage remote admissions through the transfer center
- Support patient transfers and act as a vital member of the transplant and heart failure team
- Contribute to patient care planning and documentation within established protocols
- Maintain compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards
What You Need
- Valid medical license in Louisiana
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology specialization preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in advanced heart failure, transplant cardiology, or equivalent high-acuity care
- Comfortable managing high-acuity patients remotely and accepting transfers
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Background free of pending cases and no recent disciplinary actions for temp privileges
