Job description

Seeking a Child & Adolescent psychiatrist for an inpatient unit in Connecticut.

  • Schedule: 40 hours/week; flexible scheduling; start date 09/07/2026; ongoing appointment
  • Call: No on-call duties
  • Primary responsibilities:
    • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management for children and adolescents on the inpatient unit
    • Provide addiction-related assessment and treatment for youth with co-occurring substance use disorders
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and safety plans
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (psychologists, social workers, nurses, therapists, case managers)
    • Lead or participate in daily rounds, family meetings, and discharge planning
    • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and meet quality/credentialing requirements
  • Qualifications:
    • MD or DO
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
    • Experience treating pediatric inpatient populations and co-occurring substance use disorders
    • Active medical license (or eligibility) for the state of practice
  • Other: Ability to start on 09/07/2026; position is ongoing.
