Seeking a Child & Adolescent psychiatrist for an inpatient unit in Connecticut.
- Schedule: 40 hours/week; flexible scheduling; start date 09/07/2026; ongoing appointment
- Call: No on-call duties
- Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management for children and adolescents on the inpatient unit
- Provide addiction-related assessment and treatment for youth with co-occurring substance use disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and safety plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (psychologists, social workers, nurses, therapists, case managers)
- Lead or participate in daily rounds, family meetings, and discharge planning
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and meet quality/credentialing requirements
- Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Experience treating pediatric inpatient populations and co-occurring substance use disorders
- Active medical license (or eligibility) for the state of practice
- Other: Ability to start on 09/07/2026; position is ongoing.
