Assignment Details

Coverage Dates (until permanent hire is made):

  • July 13 - August 3
Schedule & Scope
  • Inpatient/Surgical coverage only
  • 24-hour call, approximately 3-4 days per week
  • Includes 1 weekend of call coverage per rotation
  • Remaining days consist of 8-hour inpatient rounding and surgical cases
Team Structure
  • 2 Cardiovascular Surgeons
  • 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Key Procedures
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
  • Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
  • Thoracotomies and Lobectomies
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Repairs
  • Arterial Bypasses
  • Aortic Valve Replacements
Primary Responsibilities
  • Inpatient rounding and surgical management
  • Performing surgical consults
  • Emergency Room call and procedural response
