Interventional Cardiology Locum Opportunity Oregon
Position Overview
An established cardiovascular practice is seeking a Board-Certified or truly Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to provide ongoing locum coverage. Emergency credentialing may be available for qualified candidates with an active Oregon license and a clean malpractice history.
Compensation:
Orientation - $205/hr
On Call (Daily) $3,740 per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis
24 Hour Holiday Call $5,610 per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis
Call Back - $409/hr
Holiday Call Back - $615/hr

Schedule
24-hour STEMI call coverage
Shift hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
Orientation completed either the day prior to start or the morning of the first shift
Practice Setting
Inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care
Established cardiology team with multiple cardiologists and advanced practice provider support
Hospitalists manage admissions
Fully staffed clinic environment
Clinical Responsibilities
Procedures & Duties
Providers should be comfortable performing:
STEMI coverage and intervention
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
Diagnostic coronary angiography
Right and left heart catheterizations
IVUS, FFR, and iFR procedures
Echocardiogram interpretation
Stress test interpretation
Patient Volume
Approximately 5 consults daily when covering general call
Approximately 2 6 coronary angiograms per day across inpatient and outpatient settings
Clinic volume averages patients per day
Adult patient population (18+)
Rounding
Providers follow and manage their own patients until sign-off
Support Structure
Multiple cardiologists and interventional cardiologists on staff
Advanced practice provider support
Dedicated medical assistant support in clinic
Fully staffed office environment
Anesthesia support available when needed for inpatient procedures
Documentation
Meditech EMR with PatientKeeper interface
Credentialing
Standard credentialing timeframe: approximately days
Temporary privileges may be available for qualified candidates
Qualifications
Required
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Completion of Interventional Cardiology fellowship training
Active Oregon medical license
BLS certification
ACLS certification
DEA registration
Clean malpractice history for emergency credentialing consideration
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
Ideal Candidate
Comfortable managing STEMI call independently
Strong experience with interventional cardiology procedures
Able to provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care
Available for ongoing coverage opportunities as additional dates become available
