POSITION SUMMARY
This role provides comprehensive orthopedic surgical care within a multidisciplinary program. Responsibilities include general orthopedic procedures, scheduled operating room time, and outpatient clinic services. The position supports a structured weekly schedule, shared call coverage, and collaboration with a broad clinical support team.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Residency training in orthopedic surgery.
• Clinical background in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New Mexico.
• Commitment to patient centered, team based practice.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to perform a range of general orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Skill in managing outpatient clinic volumes and operative schedules.
• Effective collaboration with nursing, technical, and advanced practice staff.
• Capacity to participate in shared call responsibilities.
• Ability to support consistent clinical quality and workflow efficiency.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice; Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• Integrated orthopedic team with surgical and clinical support resources.
• Combination of outpatient clinic visits, operative block time, and inpatient responsibilities.
• Use of advanced imaging technology and industry standard EMR.
• Dedicated support from nursing staff, casting technicians, and medical assistants.
• Structured call rotation and coordinated administrative time.
