Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a high-acuity Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team. This opportunity is ideal for a provider who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care to trauma and surgical patients.
The selected candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, managing complex trauma and emergency general surgery cases while practicing with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.
- Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient surgical patients.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Assist with procedures, trauma resuscitations, and operative support.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Support departmental goals and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications Required
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA Certification (PA-C).
- Active Colorado Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
- BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
- DEA eligibility and Medicare/Medicaid provider eligibility.
Preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Trauma Surgery experience OR completion of a Surgical Fellowship.
- Clean malpractice and licensure history.

- Annual incentive bonus up to $10,000.
