Physician Assistant (PA) Trauma Surgery

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a high-acuity Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team. This opportunity is ideal for a provider who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care to trauma and surgical patients.

The selected candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, managing complex trauma and emergency general surgery cases while practicing with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.
  • Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient surgical patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and interpret diagnostic studies.
  • Assist with procedures, trauma resuscitations, and operative support.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Support departmental goals and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications Required
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • NCCPA Certification (PA-C).
  • Active Colorado Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
  • BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
  • DEA eligibility and Medicare/Medicaid provider eligibility.
Preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Trauma Surgery experience OR completion of a Surgical Fellowship.
  • Clean malpractice and licensure history.

  • Annual incentive bonus up to $10,000.
