OnCall Solutions is currently seeking a Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinology provider for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity requiring consistent monthly coverage located in Washington.
This is a structured inpatient and outpatient role with clinic and 24-hour beeper call responsibilities, designed for providers who can support a high-functioning pediatric endocrinology service line.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
This assignment is ideal for providers comfortable managing both inpatient consults and outpatient pediatric endocrinology clinic workflows, including new patient evaluations and follow-up diabetes care in a structured, high-volume setting.
Key Details:
• Ongoing need: 1 week per month (consistent long-term coverage through 03/31/2027)
• Inpatient + outpatient pediatric endocrinology coverage
• Clinic + 24-hour beeper call responsibility during assigned week
• EMR: Epic
• Patient volume: approximately 8 10 patients per day
• No admissions required
• Minimal weekend rounding during call coverage
Clinic Structure:
• New patient visits: 1 hour
• Diabetes visits: 1 hour
• Follow-ups: 30 minutes
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Guaranteed 8-hour clinical day
• Provider requirement: 7 14 shifts per month (as scheduled within coverage week model)
Important Notes:
• Board Certification in Pediatric Endocrinology is REQUIRED (no exceptions)
• Active state license required or eligibility through IMLC
• Active DEA required
• References MUST be included with presentation (required for hospital privileging consideration)
• Temporary privileges are NOT available
• Must already meet full hospital privileging requirements at time of submission
• CV and references must be current for submission
Clinical Scope:
• Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic management
• Diabetic care and endocrine follow-ups
• New patient endocrine evaluations
• Structured workflow with dedicated visit lengths to support efficiency and quality care
Support & Setting:
• Pediatric endocrinology department with established clinical workflow
• Support staff includes RNs, MAs, and office staff (specific ratios TBD)
