PSYCHIATRY CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides psychiatric care for children and adolescents across both outpatient and inpatient settings within The Department. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, managing treatment plans, supervising clinical staff, and supporting a high volume patient panel. The role participates in a combined service model that includes scheduled call coverage and involvement in organizational planning structures.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry and/or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Residency training in psychiatry.
• Training or experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Florida.
• Compliance with citizenship or residency requirements as stated.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to manage psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Skill in supervising clinical disciplines involved in behavioral health care.
• Capacity to manage a high volume caseload with mixed age distribution.
• Effective collaboration within multidisciplinary behavioral health teams.
• Ability to utilize industry standard EMR systems.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice
• Behavioral health program serving child and adolescent populations across multiple care settings.
• Outpatient clinic operations with defined weekday hours.
• Inpatient unit with dedicated pediatric psychiatric beds.
• Use of industry standard EMR and modern diagnostic tools.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary behavioral health staff and participation in governance structures.
