Location: Bethesda, MD
Job Type: Part Time or Full Time
Work Setting: Outpatient treatment center
Age groups of patients: Adults (Starting at 18 through senior citizens)
Schedule
- Full-time
- Daytime hours, somewhat flexible, Monday through Friday
- open 10am-6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 12pm-8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At some point we plan to open on Fridays.
- No night shifts, weekends, or on-call duties
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric intakes and follow-ups for patients receiving ketamine/esketamine therapy.
- Administer and oversee ketamine/esketamine treatments, determining appropriate dosing for each patient.
- Assess medical clearances and manage high-risk patients to ensure safety and efficacy of treatments.
- Supervise and train medical staff, including residents and fellows, in the administration of ketamine/esketamine therapy.
- Collaborate with outpatient providers (OPs) and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (or eligibility).
- Valid medical license in Maryland.
- Experience in psychiatric care; experience with ketamine/esketamine treatments preferred but not required.
- Leadership and management experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative, team-based approach.
- Interest in research and advancing the field of medical psychedelics.
