ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead the future of pediatric heart care in Kentucky.
The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is offering a rare leadership opportunity for a pediatric cardiologist to step into a Division Chief role with system-level impact while serving as Co-Director of a nationally recognized Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program.
This is not a traditional Chief role. You will help lead a one-program, two-sites model in collaboration with Cincinnati Children s Hospital Medical Center, shaping clinical strategy, expanding services, and influencing how pediatric cardiovascular care is delivered across the region.
In this role, you will drive program growth, lead faculty development, and play a central role in advancing both clinical and academic excellence within a rapidly expanding children s hospital.
PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS
- Executive Leadership: Lead the Division of Pediatric Cardiology with oversight of clinical operations, faculty recruitment, and long-term strategy
Co-Director Role: Serve as Co-Director of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program
Program Influence: Active participation on the program s Steering Committee, guiding innovation and regional impact
Clinical Practice: Balanced inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology with strong referral base
Academic Environment: Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
Research Opportunities: Participate in clinical research and program development initiatives
Program Growth: Lead expansion of pediatric cardiology services and subspecialty programs
Collaborative Team: Work alongside a large, multidisciplinary pediatric team

QUALIFICATIONS
- MD or DO (or equivalent)
Completion of Pediatric residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship
Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology
Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure
Academic appointment at Associate Professor or Professor level
Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic or clinical setting
