ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY HAND SURGERY

POSITION SUMMARY

The Department seeks a hand surgery specialist to join a surgical team providing operative and clinical care within a busy orthopaedic service line. The role includes collaboration with experienced surgeons, support from a dedicated surgical advanced practice clinician, and participation in a structured call rotation. The position offers a high volume practice environment with opportunities for both operative and outpatient hand surgery.



QUALIFICATIONS

• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and/or Hand Surgery.
• Residency training in orthopaedic surgery.
• Fellowship training in hand surgery.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in South Carolina.
• Training or experience in hand surgery.



COMPETENCIES

• Ability to manage a broad range of hand and upper extremity conditions.
• Skill in performing operative and non operative hand surgery procedures.
• Capacity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary orthopaedic team.
• Commitment to high quality surgical and outpatient care.
• Ability to support a high volume practice with shared call responsibilities.



WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice; Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• Hand surgery services delivered across operative and outpatient settings.
• Collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons and a dedicated surgical advanced practice clinician.
• Participation in a structured call rotation with defined weekday and weekend coverage.
• Access to modern surgical facilities and diagnostic tools.
• Integration within a multispecialty orthopaedic service line.
