Job Description: Physician - Emergency Medicine (ABEM)

Position Overview seeking a dedicated and Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM/ABOEM) to join our team for a new start-up initiative. This role is part of a multi-site system in South Texas designed to provide high-quality emergency and hospitalist services.
Note on Cross-Credentialing: This position requires the provider to be cross-credentialed and willing to rotate across multiple facilities based on system coverage needs.
Key Responsibilities - Provide high-level emergency care and manage patient flow within a high-volume, acute care setting.
- Manage inpatient care duties as assigned based on facility needs.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nursing staff, and APPs.
- Participate in the cross-site coverage model, ensuring clinical consistency across the South Texas system.
Requirements & Qualifications - Education: Medical Degree (MD) required.
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine (ABOEM).
- Licensure: Active Texas State Medical License in hand.
- Certifications: Active DEA, CSR, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS are required.
- Experience: Fellowship training is preferred but not required.
Schedule & Assignment Details - Shift Length: 12-hour shifts.
- Coverage: Rotating days and nights.
- Flexibility: Staggered shift options are available to optimize patient flow.
- Contract: Commencing August; Open-ended duration.
