Locum Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine in Richmond, VA
Join a dynamic healthcare team as a locum physician specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine at a well-respected hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This facility provides comprehensive healthcare services, including both office and inpatient coverage for high-risk pregnancies, making it an ideal environment for skilled professionals to thrive. The practice is well-equipped, with ultrasound facilities and a supportive staff, including nursing and genetic counseling resources.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care for high-risk pregnancies, focusing on prenatal testing and monitoring.
- Perform necessary procedures including Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling, and cerclage.
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to deliver excellent patient care.
- Consult with other Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians during locum coverage dates.
- Manage an average of 27 scheduled patients per day.
- Participate in on-call duties on weekdays and weekends.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems such as EPIC and Viewpoint.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Completion of a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Active Virginia medical license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- AIUM Certification is preferred but not required.
- A minimum availability of 1-2 weeks per month ongoing.
- Submissions must include NPDB report pulled within the last 30 days.
License and Certification Requirements:
- VA medical license - REQUIRED
- Board Certified/Eligible MFM - REQUIRED
- Fellowship completion - REQUIRED
- BLS certification - REQUIRED
- AIUM Certification - Preferred
