Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic surgical care, including arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and fracture repair.
- Manage emergency orthopedic conditions requiring immediate attention or surgery.
- Conduct consultations and perform necessary follow-up visits as required.
- Maintain readiness to stabilize long bone trauma for transfer.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active NC license and NC DEA (NC address)
- Vaccinated against COVID-19
- Credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS
Working Hours
- 24-hour call coverage required; must reside within 20 minutes of the hospital during on-call periods
Skills
- Proficient in arthroscopy, joint replacement, and complex fracture management
- Skilled in both instrumented and non-instrumented orthopedic procedures
- Ability to perform tendon release/repair and peripheral nerve surgery
- Certified in ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
