Assignment Details:

Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient GI clinic coverage and endoscopic procedures
- Perform approximately 4 high-risk outpatient screening colonoscopies daily plus inpatient add-on cases
- Supervise 2 3 APPs as needed
- Participate in inpatient GI call coverage
Required Procedures & Skills:
Candidates must be comfortable performing:
- ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic) Required
- Upper GI endoscopy with:
- Biopsy
- Foreign body removal
- Bleeder fulguration
- Variceal injections
- PEG placement
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
- Flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
- Esophageal dilation/manometry
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
- Liver biopsy
- Small bowel biopsy
- Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management
Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Arkansas medical license required at time of submission
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must provide case logs from the past 24 months
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 30 days
