Position Overview We are seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist for a hospital-based locum opportunity in Pennsylvania. This role offers a mix of procedures, inpatient care, and call coverage, providing exposure to a diverse patient population while working in a well-supported clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities - Provide inpatient GI care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Perform gastroenterology procedures (ERCP preferred)
- Manage consults and inpatient cases
- Participate in scheduled shifts + on-call coverage
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a hospital setting

- Ongoing assignment with consistent coverage
- Mix of day shifts + night call coverage
- Typical schedule includes:
- Weekday hospital coverage (7 AM 5 PM)
- Weekend coverage with on-call responsibilities
- Friday split shifts (half-day + call)
Qualifications - MD/DO degree
- Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active Pennsylvania medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- DEA certification required
Preferred Skills - Experience with ERCP procedures (highly preferred)
- Strong inpatient and consultative care experience
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
