Inpatient Adult Psychiatry locum opportunity serving as the sole attending psychiatrist for a 14-bed behavioral health unit in a hospital setting. Provider will lead clinical decision-making while collaborating with nurse practitioners.

• Sole attending psychiatrist on inpatient unit

• Manageable 14-bed census with acute psych cases
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct daily inpatient psychiatric rounds
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and crisis intervention
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
• Medication management and stabilization of acute patients
• Lead discharge planning with multidisciplinary team
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board Certified Psychiatry (ABPN required)
• Active New York medical license
• Inpatient psychiatry experience required
• Comfortable functioning as sole attending psychiatrist
• DEA + BLS certification required
WORKING HOURS
Weekday Shifts
• Monday Friday 8 AM 5 PM
• Required call coverage included
Weekend Shifts
• 1 2 weekends per month call coverage
• Weeknight phone call coverage required
