Neurologist - Sault Ste. Marie, MichiganLocation / Community
  • Sault Ste. Marie, MI - Michigan's oldest city (settled 1668), Upper Peninsula
  • Population: 55,000 in the regional service area
  • Waterfront community with historical sites, Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, lighthouses, year-round recreation
  • Home to Lake Superior State University
  • Accessible via I-75 and regional airport (CIU) with flights to Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul
  • Drive times: Detroit 4.5 hrs, Lansing 4 hrs, Grand Rapids 4.5 hrs, Midland 3 hrs, Traverse City 3 hrs
Position Overview
  • Board-eligible or board-certified neurologist
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care
  • Inherit a robust practice with limited inpatient work and minimal call commitment
  • Bread-and-butter neurology practice covering most neurological conditions
  • Ability to perform EEG/EMG is a plus
  • EPIC EHR in use
  • Opportunity to grow the neurology service line, including adding midlevel providers
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent)
  • Board eligible or board-certified in Neurology
  • Completed Neurology residency
  • Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical license & Controlled Substance License
