Job description

Radiation Oncology locums coverage is available in Illinois, offering outpatient continuity work with no call and a predictable weekday schedule.


Highlights:

  • No call responsibilities; keep evenings and weekends free
  • Outpatient setting with established support from radiation therapists, nurses, and dosimetrists
  • Weekday schedule (Monday-Friday) for reliable planning
  • Dates still available across select summer/fall weeks, with additional intermittent coverage needs afterward

Practice Setting:

  • Outpatient Radiation Oncology coverage
  • Coverage need is for vacation relief
  • Patient mix includes pediatrics and adults (approximately 50/50)
  • Team-based environment with on-site clinical support staff

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Daytime hours (8:00a-4:30p)
  • Short-term blocks available; ideal for physicians looking to add targeted weeks of locums coverage
  • Additional sporadic weeks anticipated beyond the initial coverage blocks

Cases and Procedures:

  • General radiation oncology coverage including external beam treatments
  • On-treatment visits (OTVs) and follow-ups
  • Review/checking of SRS plans
  • Focus on continuity and safe, consistent outpatient care

Requirements:

  • Must be an MD/DO
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
  • Active Illinois license required
  • Minimum 12 months of experience
