Facility in Somerset, PA seeking EM locums coverage Rates: $325/hr Opportunity Highlights - Start Date: July 1, 2026.
- Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts).
- Hours Needed: Seeking coverage for hours per month ( 10 shifts).
- Minimum Availability: Must provide at least 5 shifts (62.5 hours) per month to be considered.
- Patient Volume: 1.7 2.0 patients per hour (Annual volume: 19,500).
- Support: Mid-day APP coverage available; multiple on-site consult services.
- EMR: Epic.
Clinical Scope & Procedures As the solo physician overnight, you will be responsible for stabilizing and diagnosing a wide variety of acute injuries and illnesses. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient mix of 90% Adult and 10% Pediatric.
- Provide critical care for Sepsis, Stroke, and STEMI patients.
- Interpret own X-rays during the overnight hours.
- Average of 5 6 admissions per night.
Required Procedures:
- Resuscitation and pressor support.
- Intubation and ventilation management.
- Ultrasound-guided IV placement.
- Cardiac pacing and defibrillation.
- Laceration repairs.
Provider Requirements - Board Status: Board Certified (ABEM, ABIM, or ABFM).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience.
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania (PA) License or IMLC in hand (Required).
- Certifications: Active ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and DEA (Required).
- Credentialing: 90-day timeframe; temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean record and active PA license.
