Job description

Coverage Needed

  • Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with evening call 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM & 24 hour weekend call
  • Open Dates: September 24(8am) - September 27(8am)
    • Ongoing coverage for 2026/2027

Clinical Details

  • Patients per Day: Varies from 10-15 procedures
  • Call Back: Normally only comes in for emergencies
  • EMR: Epic
  • Required Procedures: Diagnostic & therapeutic vascular interventions (venous and arterial angiography, angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolization), non-neuro body IR procedures, vascular access (PICC lines, central lines, Port-a-Cath), IVC filters, TIPS, aspiration/drainage (abscess, thoracentesis, paracentesis), percutaneous needle biopsies (above/below diaphragm & bone), biliary/renal extractions, myelography, pain management (blood patches, joint/epidural injections, vertebroplasty), arthrograms, chest tube insertion, uterine artery embolization, liver Y90/TACE, gastrostomy tube placement, nephrostomy/ureteral stents, renal fistulograms, and cryoablation
    • Preferred but not required: Neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy

Requirements

  • Board Certified
  • ND license (highly preferred) or IMLC
  • IR Residency or Fellowship
  • ACLS, BLS
  • Malpractice - Clean (highly preferred)
  • Experience with all required procedures
  • Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days
  • IR general (stroke capabilities are preferred but not required)
