Heart Failure Cardiologist Las Cruces, New Mexico Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Heart Failure Cardiologist to join an established cardiovascular team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to serve as the region s dedicated Advanced Heart Failure specialist while helping build and expand a comprehensive heart failure program for a growing referral base across Southern New Mexico and West Texas.

The incoming physician will collaborate closely with experienced cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams in a supportive and patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiovascular conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based heart failure therapies
  • Collaborate with cardiology, hospitalist, intensivist, and primary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Interpret and utilize advanced cardiac imaging including echocardiography and cardiac MRI
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient heart failure management
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical program growth
  • Engage in patient education and preventive cardiovascular care
  • Optional participation in clinical research and clinical trials
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology preferred
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Mexico
  • Strong interest in program development and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Experience with advanced cardiac imaging preferred
