A growing nonprofit health system in southern Louisiana is seeking a Palliative Care physician to join an established and collaborative team.
Position Highlights:
- 281-bed community hospital
- Joining an existing Palliative Care physician and experienced APP support team
- Opening created due to a recent provider departure for family reasons
- Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative care
- Palliative Care clinic located within the Cancer Center two days per week
- Combination of in-person and virtual visits
- Over 350 consults per month across the program
- Freestanding clinic with strong APRN involvement
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and supervise 5 APRNs
- Review inpatient documentation completed by APPs
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and hospital rounding
- Provide educational presentations and committee participation
- Minimal call responsibilities with only rare weekend calls
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary around $260,000 depending on experience
- 3-year employment agreement
- Student loan assistance up to $60,000
- CME: 5 days + $3,500 annually
- Relocation assistance up to $10,000
