Carlsbad Medical Center / Pecos Valley of New Mexico is seeking a Locum Tenens Orthopaedic Surgeon to provide ongoing coverage due to a long-term permanent vacancy. This is a balanced inpatient and outpatient role with clinic, OR time, and call responsibilities at a Level III Trauma Center.

Level III Trauma Center
Full clinic staff and anesthesia support available
Minimal callback during call shifts; most patients admitted to hospitalist service and followed next day

Call Ratio: Every other week
Call for: Assigned patients only
Minimal call-back volume
Support Staff Required & Preferred Skills Preferred experience includes:
Arthroscopy
Total joint replacement (hip & knee)
Joint revision/repair
Shoulder procedures
Hand surgery
Tendon release/repair
Peripheral nerve surgery
Spine procedures (cervical, thoracic, lumbar with and without instrumentation)
Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
Active New Mexico medical license required
Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges available)
