General Trauma Surgery APP Michigan
Location: Midland, Michigan
Setting: Inpatient surgical services; no call
️ Schedule: 7 on/7 off, ongoing coverage required; 6 p.m. 6 a.m., Monday Sunday
- Coverage dates: 7/6 7/12, 7/20 7/26, 8/3 8/9, 8/17 8/23, 8/31 9/6, 9/14 9/20, 9 5
- Second APP need: 9/14 9/20 and 9 5
Cases/Procedures: Trauma, general surgery, urology, and inpatient surgical consults/admissions
- Respond to Level I and Level II trauma activations
- Perform admissions, H&Ps, and consults
- Serve as hospital-wide first call for inpatient surgical services, including general surgery, trauma, ortho, urology, and colorectal
- Required procedural skills: suturing, central lines, art lines, tube placement, foley troubleshooting, continuous bladder irrigation, and bedside procedure setup support
EMR/Dictation: EPIC and Dragon
Requirements: Trauma and general surgery experience; ACLS and ATLS required
- Certifications must be from the American Heart Association
- Case logs: 50 cases within the past 12 months
- Must have an active Michigan license
️ Credentialing: 30 days; applications prioritized by start date
