Experience Requirements,

  • Previous Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • MEDITECH experience required
  • Critical Care experience preferred
  • Charge Nurse experience preferred

License / Certification Requirements,

  • Current New York State RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
  • Defibrillation certification required within six months of employment
  • IV, medication administration, and phlebotomy certifications required during orientation

Job Summary,
The Emergency Department RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and emergent medical conditions. Responsibilities include patient assessment, emergency intervention, medication administration, monitoring, care coordination, patient education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The RN must be able to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations while maintaining high standards of patient care in a fast-paced environment.
