Join Our Neurosurgery Team in Pueblo, CO
Located in the heart of Pueblo, Colorado, our facility offers a dynamic and supportive environment for healthcare professionals. We are seeking a Board-Eligible/Board Certified Neurosurgeon to join our established Neurosurgery group. With a commitment to excellent patient care, our team works collaboratively to deliver world-class healthcare, making a real difference in the lives of our community members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in patient consultations and manage a full caseload in both clinic and operating room settings.
- Conduct surgeries and procedures as needed, focusing on general neurosurgery with an opportunity to develop an elective spine practice.
- Manage an average of 8 to 12 patients per day, augmented by the support of 3-4 physician assistants.
- Handle emergency room calls, averaging 7 days per month, with most activities managed remotely.
- Provide call coverage likely one weekend per month.
- Utilize state-of-the-art neuro-navigation tools including Globus Robot and Stryker, and effective EMR documentation through EPIC.
- Collaborate within a collegial team environment with one other Neurosurgeon and four advanced practice providers.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible by the ABNS, within 5 years of eligibility.
- Active Colorado medical license, or the willingness to obtain one.
- Clean malpractice history with a recent NPDB Self Query Report.
- DEA certification required prior to start.
- Ability to work effectively with a supportive team, focused on patient outcomes.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Colorado.
- Board certification or Board eligibility with the ABNS.
- Active DEA registration and clean malpractice history.
