Job description


  • Work Dates Needed: 08-01-2026 - Ongoing
  • Preferred Schedule: Monday through Friday, with patient appointments scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no patients scheduled during the lunch hour). Weekend on-call coverage for the Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit is required approximately one weekend every 6 7 weeks, beginning Friday at 5:00 PM and ending Monday at 8:00 AM. There is also a potential but unlikely need for PRN weekday daytime coverage of the stabilization unit.
  • Worksite Setting: Outpatient, Telehealth, Inpatient
  • Scope of Work: Provide outpatient psychiatric services to children and adolescents ages 4 17, with appointments ranging from 20 to 120 minutes depending on visit type and provider preference. Average patient volume is 7 10 visits per day. Weekend on-call responsibilities include 24-hour phone availability for admission consultations, accepting new psychiatric admissions evaluated by Crisis Interventionists through the emergency department, managing voluntary and occasional involuntary admissions, and conducting daily inpatient rounds on new and existing behavioral health patients. The average inpatient census across all behavioral health units is approximately 15 patients per day. PRN coverage, if needed, would consist of weekday daytime inpatient psychiatric coverage for the stabilization unit.
  • Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Active MT License or IMLC, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist with Child and Adolescent Psychiatry experience, Fellowship preferred
