What You ll Do
- Lead the health information management department, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
- Oversee record processing, coding, filing, storage, and release of information
- Manage departmental activities, including trauma registry, transcription, and system processes
- Develop and enforce policies related to health information functions
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, and staff to optimize operations
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in health information activities
- Represent the department and foster communication across the facility
What You Need
- Required:
- Valid healthcare management or health information management licensure/certification
- Several years of leadership experience in health information management
- Strong understanding of coding, record processing, and regulatory compliance
- Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare system setting
- Knowledge of system workflows and electronic health records (EHR) systems
