Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunity Florida
Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a cardiac-focused opportunity at a mid-sized acute care hospital in Florida. This is a high-acuity position within a well-established, collaborative care team model.
Schedule Requirements
Vacation coverage - candidates must be available for:
- One week of coverage: 7/20 7/24
- Weekend call: Either 7/18 7/19 OR 7/25 7/26
Current full-time model:
- Weekday and weekend call included
- Weekend call is Friday Sunday (from home or hotel; must be within 30 minutes of hospital)

Average Monthly Cardiac Volume
- cases requiring cardiac anesthesia with TEE examination
Case Mix
Cardiac Cases Include:
- CABG
- Valve replacement
- Aortic surgery
- Advanced EP ablations
- Watchman procedures
Majority Case Types:

Required Skills & Procedures
- TEE capability required
- Arterial line placement (A-line)
- Central venous catheter (CVC)
- Pulmonary artery catheter (PAC)
- Regional anesthesia
Credentialing Timeline:
Certification & Licensure Requirements
- Board Certified
- Completed Cardiac Fellowship
- TEE Certification
- Board Certification in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- Active Florida Medical License
- Active DEA prior to presentation
