Practice Setting
- Inpatient anesthesia coverage, working alongside 2 other CRNAs
- Typical daily volume is 2 to 4 cases
- Paper charting for CRNAs
- Case mix includes general, ortho, urology, GI, podiatry, and gyn, no heads, hearts, trauma, or OB
Schedule
- Mix of 8-hour and 10-hour shifts, structured as two 8s and two 10s
- Pager call only
- Weekday call runs Monday through Thursday, weekend call covers Friday through Sunday
- On call volume typically 1 to 2 cases
Cases and Procedures
- Spinal anesthesia
- Epidurals
- Regional nerve blocks with ultrasound guidance
- Healthy older pediatrics only
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Board Certified
