Practice Setting
- Outpatient emergency department, Level 3 trauma center
- 40 to 50 patients per 24 hours through the ED
- All ages
- 24 hour overlap with additional MD coverage and APP support
Schedule
- Ongoing coverage need for 12 hour shifts
- Shift options include 6a to 6p, 10a to 10p, 6p to 6a
- No call requirements
- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 3 months, plan ahead for a smooth start
Cases and Procedures
- General ED acuity with Level 3 trauma coverage
- Airway management and intubations
- Central and arterial line placement
- Chest tube placement
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Louisiana medical license, or Open to IMLC Physicians with an Active IMLC LOQ
- Cerner charting
