We are seeking an experienced Surgical PA or NP for a FLEXIBLE locum assignment in Potsdam, NY.
Schedule

• No block scheduling
Optional Call Opportunities
• 1 2 weekends/month
- Friday 5:00p Monday 7:00a
- Weekend rounding: Saturday Sunday 8:00a 12:00p
• Up to 4 weeknight call shifts/month - 5:00p 7:00a
Practice Setting
• Acute Care Hospital
• Level III/IV Trauma Center
• 109-bed facility
• EPIC EMR
• Provider support includes APPs, nursing staff, and anesthesia coverage for procedures
Responsibilities
• Surgical First Assist in the OR
• Surgical floor coverage
• Rounding and progress notes
• Orders, consults, and discharges
• Cases primarily include:
- General Surgery
- OB/GYN
- Orthopedics
Required Skills
• Robotics experience REQUIRED
• First assist experience
• Hemostasis, suturing, wound closure, patient positioning, suction/drainage/irrigation, and intraoperative assistance
Requirements
• PA or NP
• Active NY license in hand
• Board Certified
• Minimum 2 years recent experience
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS required
• EPIC experience required
• Strong communication skills required
