Job Responsibilities
- Provide on-call orthopedic surgery coverage in a Level 1 trauma facility
- Perform various orthopedic procedures including arthroscopy, total joint replacement, joint revision or repair, tendon release/repair, and peripheral nerve surgery
- Address orthopedic emergencies and manage patient care effectively
Qualifications
- Actively licensed in PA
- Board Certified or Board Eligible with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency
- Recent experience with at least 100 general orthopedic procedures
Working Hours
- On-call coverage from July 5 to 9
Skills
- Expertise in arthroscopy and total joint replacement
- Proficiency in knee and shoulder joint repair
- Ability to handle orthopedic emergencies
- Preferred skills in hand surgery, tendon release/repair, and peripheral nerve surgery
- Skills in cervical, thoracic, and lumbar procedures both with and without instrumentation
