What You ll Do
- Evaluate patients functional status through formal and informal assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans following physician directives
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment options, and prognosis
- Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students
- Recommend adaptive/supportive equipment and coordinate with suppliers
- Document patient progress and response to treatment for billing and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Promote occupational therapy services within the community and healthcare system
What You Need
- Valid occupational therapy license in Michigan
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience (preferred but not required)
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and mobility on the job
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and healthcare documentation practices
