Locum tenens opportunity
Seeking a board certified Cardiologist
Pennsylvania license required
IMLC accepted (must have Letter of Qualification in hand at time of presentation)
Ongoing need beginning September 1, 2026
Approximately 14 shifts per month
Minimum coverage:
Preferred coverage:
Clinic
Cardiac reads
Weeknight call
Weekend call
Hospital-based practice
Provider works independently with APP support each morning (typically 8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
Level II Trauma Center
Monday-Friday schedule:
Weekend call:
Combination of in-house and phone call
30-minute response time required
Most overnight calls managed remotely
In-person callback is uncommon and generally limited to urgent stat TEE evaluations
Average of five admissions while on call
Average inpatient census: 3-10 patients daily
Average of 5-6 new consults daily
Outpatient clinic volume: 12-14 patients daily
Perform:
Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
Cardioversions
Inpatient consultations
Cardiac imaging interpretation
Diagnostic reads
Occasional stress test supervision
Approximately 50 echocardiograms and 200 EKGs interpreted daily by the cardiology service
EP manages pacemakers and device procedures
Interventional Cardiology manages STEMI activations
Adult patient population
Minimum one year of post-training Cardiology experience required
